Mobirise

The Breakfast and Afterschool clubs are based in the KS1 hall. We have a large outdoor area and children will be able to use the school’s range of facilities as appropriate.

Parents are free to use any combination of our services, you don’t have to use only the Breakfast Club or the Afterschool Club. We aim to provide as much flexibility as we can for parents/carers and offer ad hoc sessions for parents who just need occasional childcare.

Furniture, equipment and toys are provided for a range of activities. These include art, cooking, sports and games, board games and puzzles, music and drama, reading and storytelling, imaginative play, chill out/quiet zone and help with homework.  The age of children is considered so that activities are appropriate.  Equipment conforms to British Safety Standards. The facilities are welcoming and we offer a range of activities to promote child development through play.  There is a balance of indoor and outdoor activities, weather permitting.

Children are provided with food and drink, prepared on the premises by staff.  Snacks are healthy and nutritious.  Staff are seated with children during meal times and encourage a “family” type atmosphere.  At least one member of staff holds a current Basic Food Hygiene certificate and all food and drink complies with dietary and religious requirements and with the school’s status as a “Healthy School”. Parents/carers include any information outlining religious requirements and allergies on the registration form. Fresh drinking water is available to children at all times.

Whilst attending Out of School Club children are expected to:

•    Listen and follow instructions from members of staff
•    Not hurt anyone with words or actions
•    Speak politely to all the children and adults
•    Play where it is safe and where an adult can see us
